I was going to say lavender also...a very popular herb it seems. But it's just so versatile! Aside from lavender I would probably pick marjoram. It has been one of my favorites for many years, I just love the smell and the oil is wonderful in bat...

I understand that feeling. Because I'm away from my PC and on a borrowed laptop, I'm doing a fairly skeletal version of the first couple of chapters. I may have to borrow Mel's idea of typing it up into an email and sending it to myself.

I'm not on my normal computer and was persuing TV tropes so....not very much on my end. I think I will type it up in an email and send it to myself for today.

Wargh. I thought I was the best-prepared I'd ever been this year; I even had a pretty good idea of how my first day's writing would cover and how precisely it would start out. Well, I wasn't wrong. The only problem is, I don't know if I'm going t...

The madness has officially begun. It's day two and I finally nailed down which story I'm writing, updated my NaNo page to at least have the correct book title, and am about 3000 words into it. *passing out coffee and freshly sharpened pencils to ...

Paranormal Groupie

Since I joined the paranormal group, I had to go back and watch the most recent "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth" online.

And I got my copy of Oishinbo: A la Carte - Vegetables. Yay!

7 Days till Halloween! *panic*

Woah, is it already so near?

I'm kinda panicky because I want to give a real big Halloween/Samhain party and the house looks like a mess and I have nothing else done, besides writing down the recipes of the food I intend to cook.

I want to perform a little ritual at midnight and since I'm not very used to do ritual with others and since there will be a few people who never attended one, I'm having a case of stage fright, I guess. I've not even worked out how the ritual will be performed exactl… Continue

Walking Between Worlds

This blog was inspired by Nehet's inquiry about my experiences as a psychopomp (from a discussion over in the Paranormal group). I realized when she asked that I'd never really written a comprehensive account of this particular aspect of my life. I've mentioned bits here and there, but never woven the whole story together in one place. So, here goes...

To begin at the beginning, I've had the ability to interact with the dead for as long as I can recall. Explanations as to why this gift is mine… Continue

Another mini-vent

Can I just say how very much I detest postadolescent usually-male pseudointellectual would-be skullfarmers? And the school of debate that says, "Your argument must be weak because I can contrive a specious rebuttal, ha-ha!"?

Keri Smith anyone?

I've came across that author and I think the idea of her books is quite cool.
'Wreck this Journal', 'Living Out Loud' and the 'Guerilla Art Kit' sound really fun.
Basically I know I could 'wreck' a journal by myself, but the point is, I don't do it. So I'm thinking about getting one of the above. I'm not sure, though I'd like to give it a try.

Ah, what the heck, I think I just order 'Wreck this Journal' now...
